The recently opened GES office in London is the new base for the team of three governance experts with vast experience in the responsible investments sphere. They bring their expertise in governance and proxy voting to compliment and strengthen GES’ engagement capabilities.

Josiane Fanguinovény, who will take the role of Head of Corporate Governance, spent eight years at Governance for Owners (GO), where she provided governance analysis to the GO European Focus Fund and led engagements for French-speaking markets as well as for the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Switzerland and Italy on behalf of asset managers and pension funds. Josiane’s previous experience includes positions at Hermes, F&C, and number of legal, investor relations and project management related roles in Paris, at the oil company Elf, among others.

Kalina Lazarova, Senior Engagement Manager, spent over three years at GO focusing on ESG integration in the GO Focus Fund’s processes and leading on governance analysis and engagement on behalf of asset managers and pension funds. Kalina has over ten years’ ESG experience and before joining GO, and previously she held posts at Fidelity International and PIRC.

Jonathan Kellar, Engagement Manager, was with GO London team since March 2012. He focused on voting clients’ shares in UK and Asian companies, and conducting engagements with companies in a variety of sectors. Jonathan has worked in the sphere of responsible investment for six years, with roles at PIRC and PRI.

GES’ Research Centre in Poland has also seen recent growth in numbers, hiring six new analysts during last year. This means that GES now employs a total of 45 highly skilled analysts.

In the management team, Martin Pitura has taken the post of Chief Financial Officer for GES International, and Agnieszka Kulczynska has been appointed new Research Director.

Meanwhile, GES’ Co-founder and Strategic Communications Advisor Susanne Nyman has left the company in order to take on new sustainability challenges within other spheres.
