In connection with today’s opening of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro, GES launches a blog with premier posts from its team participating in several of the Rio+20 events.
GES’ Communications Director Susanne Nyman said: “Based on GES’ long experience from working with responsible and sustainable investment and business, we wish to contribute to the future development by participating in several of the Rio+20 events and sharing our experiences from them through our new blog.”
In one of the premier posts, GES’ Senior Consultant Palle Ellemann reports from the Monday event Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative 2012 Global Dialogue, under the headline “Stock exchanges asking for more regulation”.
At the same time, GES’ Engagement Manager Stina Nilsson blogs about “Translating sustainable development goals into business cases” from a conference hosted by the International Institute for Environment and Development.
GES’ three-person team in Rio also includes Patrick Wirth, Managing Director of GES Switzerland.
