Two of Europe’s leading independent service providers within responsible investment, GES and oekom research, today announce that they have formed a strategic partnership in order to meet an increasing demand for responsible investment services in the German-speaking markets and the Nordic.

The partnership will enable clients of oekom research to apply GES’ global engagement services to their existing supply of environmental, social and governance (ESG) research, which will be accessible through an adapted client interface. At the same time, GES will be able to serve its clients supported by the manifold services offered by oekom research and its detailed ratings of companies and countries.

Magnus Furugård, President and Managing Director of GES, said: “We are very pleased about this partnership with oekom research, as we share a long experience within and commitment to sustainable and responsible investment. The engagement approach is gaining more and more importance among investors in the German-speaking markets. This collaboration will enhance GES’ and our clients’ impact on company risk management of ESG in terms of resources and network.”

Robert Haßler, CEO of oekom research, said: “oekom research and GES’ capacities complement each other perfectly. We are pleased to be able to offer our clients an enhanced choice in the area of engagement. Simultaneously we see the potential of making our high-quality analyses accessible to Nordic investors.”
