As a member of the UN PRI, GES Investment Services aims to cover key debates and workshops at the annual PRI in Person event in Sydney, Australia, between July 16 and 17.
GES Investment Services will be represented by Senior Research Analyst Shane Chaplin, who, will focus on the engagement, climate change and ecosystem services seminars. He explains why:
“On engagement there are two particularly interesting seminars; one pertaining to collaborative engagement and the other on engagement on human rights issues.
“Human rights analysis and engagement requires great skill and experience, as the issues are often complex, values laden and specific to local settings. Whilst straightforward science and engineering approaches can be used to analyse environment and workplace safety issues, the same cannot be said of human rights”.
It will be interesting to hear from other responsible investment leaders in these areas and share GES Investment Services’ experience”.
The two-day seminar will be opened with a speech by Al Gore, former Vice President of the USA, co-founder and Chairman of Generation Investment Management.
